Finance Manager - Rotherham - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be working with a fast growing manufacturing business in Rotherham to support them in the recruitment of an experienced Finance Manager.This is a new role, that will report directly to the Finance Director. As Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance and data accuracy
• Supervising transactional staff and being the first point of contact for queries
• Managing period-end close, reconciliations, and management reporting
• Supporting audits, statutory reporting, and HMRC compliance (VAT and Corporation Tax)
• Preparing reports for external stakeholders, including ONS surveys and grant funding requirements
• Business partnering with key stakeholders - monitoring company spend, producing KPIs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Supporting payroll and maintaining fixed asset and tooling registers
• Collaborating with the Finance Director on projects and wider business initiatives
• Driving efficiency, process improvements, and strong financial controls

Key skills / responsibilities:

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
• Strong financial reporting skills
• Knowledge of UK GAAP
• Proficient with finance systems and advanced Excel
• Relationship building / communication
