We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager to join my clients team on a 12 month FTC. This role is integral to supporting the Head of Financial Reporting across statutory, monthly, financial accounting, and regulatory reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
Role overview:
As Group Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll take ownership of various entities within the Group and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely statutory reporting, management information, and financial analysis.
- Statutory Reporting – Lead the preparation and delivery of UK GAAP annual reports for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Monthly Group Reporting – Drive Group financial reporting processes, reviewing results alongside budgets and forecasts.
- Financial Management & Controls – Enhance reporting processes, streamline month-end close, and ensure reconciled trial balances.
- Audit Management – Coordinate and lead external audits, ensuring smooth delivery and effective resolution of issues.
- People Leadership – Lead, motivate, and develop your team with clear goals, performance feedback, and professional growth.
- Reporting & Analysis – Produce insightful financial reports and variance analysis to support Board-level decision making.
- Accounting Policies – Support the implementation of accounting policy changes in line with evolving standards and legislation.
Experience and skills required:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Insurance or FS experience required
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory reporting
- Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors
- Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
