Finance Manager - Savant Recruitment : Job Details

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to manage and develop their finance team. This is a key leadership role, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting, supported by strong systems and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the management accounts team, working with FP&A to deliver accurate month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.

• Develop and implement financial operations policies to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and enhance efficiency.

• Act as lead contact for external audit, ensuring smooth coordination, robust documentation, and high-quality audit outcomes.

• Own and maintain the Balance Sheet, Fixed Asset Register, and capital policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting, and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Lead cost recovery and income generation initiatives, ensuring funding opportunities are maximised.

• Partner across Finance functions, promoting a one-team approach to deliver an excellent service.

• Lead, motivate, and develop the Finance Operations team, fostering a culture of performance, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with experience in a leadership role.

• Strong strategic thinker with proven experience in process improvement and financial systems.

• Skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

• Experienced in managing medium to large teams, with a track record of coaching and developing talent.

• Experience of change and transformation is desirable.
