Finance Manager - SF Recruitment : Job Details

SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fast-growing business with an annual turnover in excess of £60m, on an exciting growth trajectory. With a strong reputation in their sector and ambitious plans for the future, they are looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of a hands-on Finance Manager. The Role This is a key role within the finance function, managing a team of four and supporting the Financial Controller. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, delivering timely and accurate management accounts, and ensuring the business has the financial insight needed to support decision-making during this period of growth. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 within the finance function, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.
• Take ownership of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
• Work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting and support strategic initiatives.
• Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to operational leaders to drive performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across the finance team.

About You

• Part Qualified or Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience managing and developing a small finance team.
• Strong technical accounting skills with hands-on management accounts experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business.
• Comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also contributing at a strategic level.
