About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our clients financial operations—delivering accurate reporting, guiding budgeting and forecasting, and collaborating across teams to ensure financial clarity and control. This is a hands-on role with real impact, offering the chance to shape processes and contribute to strategic decision-making. Reporting directly into the MD, this post offers a great career opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
- Deliver daily cashflow updates and weekly performance dashboards.
- Provide margin analysis across teams, products, and business units.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Align financial records with inventory systems.
- Lead annual stock takes and implement regular checks.
- Monitor stock accuracy, turnover, and fulfilment metrics.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Introduce and manage forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Support multi-year financial planning aligned with business goals.
Compliance & External Relations
- Manage relationships with banks, accountants, and financial institutions.
- Oversee VAT, payroll, statutory filings, and cross-border trade compliance.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring role clarity and performance.
- Promote best practices and system proficiency across the department.
Payroll & Forex
- Own payroll data preparation and liaise with external providers.
- Advise on foreign exchange strategies for supplier payments.
Ad Hoc & Strategic Support
- Produce reports and insights for senior management as needed.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Meetings
- Attend weekly and monthly management meetings to review performance and align on priorities.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in financial management or accounting (QBE / Part Qual).
- Previous experience of managing a team, developing and coaching.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with inventory systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong exposure to financial systems
