This position has arisen as a result of the previous Finance Manager being promoted into an FD role. We are looking for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant / Finance Manager to ensure the efficient and controlled operation of the company’s accounting and finance systems. You’ll lead and manage the month-end for the group (comprising a number of entities), and you’ll report the financials to the board of directors. You’ll be supported by a team of 5 Trainee Accountants (each responsible for their own entity), and you’ll oversee their development within the company, whilst assisting with technical matters, as required.

Duties will include, but not be limited to, cashflow forecasting, evaluating and monitoring financial information systems, and liaising with internal and external auditors. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and oversight of monthly management accounts, income statements, balance sheets and VAT compliance. As Finance Manager, you’ll also present financial information to key internal stakeholders including directors and the CEO.

“We are looking for someone who knows what good monthly reports look like”, cites the Director. Just as importantly, you must have previous managerial experience, with a passion for inspiring others, and helping them realise their full potential. You’ll also be tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of accounting software principles. Whilst not essential, previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Sage would be desirable. You’ll be dedicated to accuracy and getting it “right first time”, and you’ll be an effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with people with various levels of knowledge, face to face, over the telephone and in writing.
