Venn Group is delighted to be working with a leading broadcasting organisation to appoint a Finance Manager – Management Reporting and Systems - on a 6-month interim basis.
This pivotal role will combine management reporting, finance systems ownership, and team leadership, providing high-quality financial insights and supporting continuous improvement across the organisation’s commercial group.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams, stakeholders, and technical teams across the business to ensure accurate, timely reporting and robust system processes.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Lead the review, production, and consolidation of monthly and quarterly management reporting, including Executive Committee and Board reporting
- Analyse trends, provide actionable insights, and support business decision-making based on historical performance and full-year forecasts
- Own and maintain finance systems, including SAP S/4 and BPC, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely loading
- Act as the primary contact for system queries, defect resolution, and escalations with BPO providers
- Identify and implement process and reporting improvements, standardisation, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data quality
- Design and deliver training and guidance for finance system users, promoting best practice across the business
- Support controllership activities, internal controls, and compliance requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, deputising for the Head of Finance when required
- Collaborate with finance and business leads across multiple divisions to build robust, consolidated views, ensuring clear communication of financial performance to stakeholders
Ideal candidate profile:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven track record in management reporting, finance systems, and finance process improvement within a large, matrixed organisation
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 and BPC or equivalent ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
- Knowledge of audit, compliance, and internal control frameworks is highly desirable

Pay rate: £400–£500 per day (inside IR35)
