Finance Manager – Temporary ContractLocation: Central CambridgeDuration: 6 monthsAn established charity based in central Cambridge is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their Finance and Operations team on a six-month temporary contract.The role involves managing the production of management accounts, supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, overseeing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring strong financial controls. You will work closely with senior colleagues and department leads, providing clear financial insights to support decision-making and effective budget management.Key responsibilities include:• Preparing and monitoring monthly budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports• Supporting the production of statutory accounts and audit preparation• Assisting in the development of business plans and performance measures• Providing financial analysis and reports for internal and external stakeholders• Overseeing financial procedures, governance registers, and compliance processes• Supporting and managing finance coordinators as part of a small, collaborative teamThe successful candidate will be a CCAB-qualified accountant with significant experience in management accounting, budget reporting, and financial control. Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI, are essential. Knowledge of Sage and experience within the charity sector would be advantageous.This role would suit a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.This role is due to start mid/late September.
