We’re seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of financial management and help shape the future of a growing charity. The RoleThis is a pivotal position, bringing the finance function fully in-house and ensuring the charity continues to thrive. Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with senior leaders, you will:
- Lead the transition from outsourced finance to in-house systems
- Oversee all finance functions, including management accounts, bank reconciliations, VAT, and year-end audit preparation
- Manage budgeting, reforecasts, cashflow, and financial reporting for leadership and trustees
- Support project and grant management, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
- Provide training and guidance to budget holders across the organisation
- Review and improve finance processes, systems, and controls
About YouWe’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in a similar finance management role (charity sector experience desirable)
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and charity SORP requirements
- Proficiency in financial software (SAGE preferred) and excellent Excel skills
- The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
