Finance Manager - Charity SectorHybrid (home-based with London office access as needed)Salary: £40,000-45,000 (depending on experience)Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week, flexible working available)  Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a real impact in the not-for-profit sector? We’re seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of financial management and help shape the future of a growing charity.  The RoleThis is a pivotal position, bringing the finance function fully in-house and ensuring the charity continues to thrive. Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with senior leaders, you will:
  • Lead the transition from outsourced finance to in-house systems
  • Oversee all finance functions, including management accounts, bank reconciliations, VAT, and year-end audit preparation
  • Manage budgeting, reforecasts, cashflow, and financial reporting for leadership and trustees
  • Support project and grant management, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to budget holders across the organisation
  • Review and improve finance processes, systems, and controls
About YouWe’re looking for someone who brings:
  • Experience in a similar finance management role (charity sector experience desirable)
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and charity SORP requirements
  • Proficiency in financial software (SAGE preferred) and excellent Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
