Job Description :

Greenwellgleeson arecruiting for a Finance Manager to work in a growing business based in Birmingham.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, duties of the role will include:

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Prepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts.

Review and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

Analyse variances against AOP and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.

Utilize Sage accounting software to manage financial records and reporting.

Troubleshoot and resolve Sage-related issues, ensuring system integrity and efficiency.

Train and support team members in using Sage for financial processes.

Assist in the preparation of the annual AOP and forecasts.

Monitor financial performance against AOP and provide actionable recommendations.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team meets deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Accounting Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

Experience:

Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with expertise in Sage accounting software.

Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
