Finance Manager - MB Connected : Job Details

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join a thriving SME based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function, working closely with the leadership team to support business performance and growth.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of finance — from day-to-day transactions through to strategic financial planning. This is a role where you’ll have real influence, shaping processes and delivering accurate, timely information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Oversee cashflow management and reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end processes
• Manage purchase and sales ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks
• Provide insight and analysis to support business strategy
• Identify and implement process improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with strong all-round finance experience
• Previous experience in an SME or owner-managed business
• Strong technical skills in management accounting and reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
