Finance Manager

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK contract packaging operation, renowned for its innovation, quality, and client satisfaction. We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to enhance financial operations and contribute to the company's continued success and growth.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Sales Ledger Management: Oversee credit checking of new customers, set up new accounts on Sage, and raise invoices. You will also be responsible for issuing invoices through customer portals like Tungsten, SAP, and Coupa, and allocating payments to ledgers daily.
• Credit Control: Keep management updated with any issues regarding payment delays and engage in regular credit control activities, including sending fortnightly statements.
• Purchase Ledger Duties: Enter all purchase ledger invoices onto Sage, ensure invoices are authorised appropriately, and manage the month-end payments run, including liaising with banks for BACS payments.
• Nominal Ledger Oversight: Handle journals, accruals, prepayments, quarterly VAT returns, and depreciation. You will also manage petty cash.
• Month-End Processes: Close month-end accounts, including managing several management account sheets and customer analysis spreadsheets. Analyse warehouse staff usage to optimise operations.
• Additional Responsibilities: Additional Responsibilities: Manage payroll on Sage 50, company HR benefits including life insurance, healthcare, and mobile phone contracts. You will also liaise with external entities, HR Advisors, NEST pensions, HMRC, liaising with Group all financial activities and reports and accountants regarding corporate tax and conduct the external annual audit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Part-Qualified or Qualified ACCA or CIMA.
• Proficient with Sage and experienced in managing financial systems and processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various departments and external agencies.
