Finance Manager

  • Annual Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum plus benefits
  • Location: London (Hybrid working)
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client a well-established and reputable consultancy are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their finance team.

This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within accounting, ideally within an SME setting and be a fully qualified Accountant.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control checks to ensure accurate records and timely production of month-end accounts.
  • Prepare Group monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the Senior Management Team and Executive Board.
  • Conduct regular reporting to the wider business on sales and sales forecasting.
  • Engage in business partnering with other departments and global sales teams.
  • Manage monthly payroll and year-end payroll tasks across multiple regions
  • Handle Corporation Tax and VAT reporting and payments in all office locations.
  • Lead UK and overseas audits and statutory reporting.
  • Assist with the budgeting process and implement continuous process improvements and system enhancements to maximise efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee the deliverables of the Assistant Accountant.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Accountant with 1-2 years post qualified experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience working within an SME environment ideally within professional services or consultancy sector.
  • Strong experience in management accounting, MI reporting and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Must be proficient in UK Payroll.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building models, creating reports, and reconciliations, including being confident in using XLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, and managing large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be proactive, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships and effectively communicating with non-finance personnel.
  • Experience or interest in line management, with a focus on setting high standards and acting as a role model.
