Finance Manager - TalentSource Ltd : Job Details

A growing commercial subsidiary in the Netherlands is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of financial operations. This is a strategic and operational role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and business partnering, while also playing a key role in supporting decision-making across the business.

You will lead financial planning and analysis, manage internal controls, and ensure compliance with Dutch tax and accounting regulations. This position involves close collaboration with senior management, local stakeholders, and group finance teams. You will also act as the primary point of contact for audits, tax matters, and external advisors.

• Manage all financial operations including bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, VAT compliance, and payroll.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with local regulations and group standards.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including quarterly P&L forecasts and the annual budget cycle.
• Monitor performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee tax compliance and ensure timely filing of VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate statutory audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervise the local finance team, including recruitment, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Support operational teams with financial analysis related to deals, investments, cost structures, and profitability tracking.
• Act as a business partner to the Managing Director, contributing to both strategic and day-to-day operational decisions.
• Collaborate with group finance and other departments on projects related to systems, compliance, and process improvement.
• Serve as the local HR point of contact for payroll accuracy, employee records, and basic HR compliance in coordination with group HR.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Business Economics (MBO-4 / HBO minimum)
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and tax regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
• Leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional topics

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., QlikSense, QlikView)
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance frameworks

• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
