The business has invested heavily in both it’s manufacturing and warehouse facilities to enable continued growth moving forward.
Reporting straight to the Head of Finance, the vacancy has come about as a result of an internal promotion and this role will be responsible for leading a transactional finance team. In time, the responsibilities in the role are likely to increase, and as a result this role will suit a candidate who is looking for long-term career progression.

Main duties will include but not limited to: -
- Lead, manage and develop the transactional finance team (Including AP, AR and Credit Control)
- Preparation of the statutory accounts under IFRS
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Providing analysis and detailed commentary on business performance
- Management of the external audit process
- Control of Fixed Assets
- Preparation of tax computations in collaboration with tax advisors
- Control and submission of VAT returns and National Statistics reporting
- Day-to-day treasury management including forecasting, reconciliations, payments, receipts, foreign payments and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, regulatory and government filings, including maintaining business awareness of any changes to accounting standards
- Development of financial processes including systems development and implementation
- Point of contact for external relationships with auditors, banks, HMRC and other stakeholders
Key skills / qualifications:
- Fully qualified chartered Accountant
- Strong technical accounting skills (Practice / audit trained preferred but not essential)
- Ability to communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to successfully manage and lead a team
- IT literate including strong Excel skills
