Near Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire - you'll need to drive£45,000 to £55,000 per year

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of all aspects of the company’s finances while leading and developing the administration team. This is a hands-on role suited to an enthusiastic, well-organised individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and thrives on accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly management accounts
• Complete VAT returns
• Coordinate year-end accounts and reports
• Prepare corporation and personal tax computations
• Lead and support the administration team
• Report directly to the board of directors
• Manage all incoming and outgoing payments
• Oversee foreign exchange transactions
• Oversee purchase ledger management for both UK and European divisions
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage payroll and expenses
• Report directly to the board of directors

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally around 5 years’ experience in the private sector
• High level of computer literacy — experience with ERP systems is advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Exceptionally organised and methodical, with a keen eye for detail
• Able to analyse and improve existing processes to drive efficiency
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
• Commercially minded with a focus on accuracy and maintaining high standards
