Finance Manager - Broster Buchanan Ltd : Job Details

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial insight to drive financial performance, ensure integrity in financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
• Monitor financial performance against KPIs and support variance analysis.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
• Provide financial insights to senior management and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA) – essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in financial management or similar roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
