Finance Manager - Reed : Job Details

Join a friendly, family-run business looking to expand its finance team. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support our Financial Controller and manage our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in finance management, looking to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic environment.

• Oversee and manage the finance team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to enhance financial procedures and systems.
• Conduct full reconciliation work, prepare management accounts, and oversee budget preparation.
• Manage the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Work closely with senior managers and other finance team members, including the Credit Manager, to ensure cohesive financial strategies and implementations.
• Read and manipulate data in Excel to create financial reports and forecasts.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance department environment.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial role within finance.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, management accounts, budget preparation, and annual audits.
• Proficiency in managing a finance team and working collaboratively across departments.
• ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent; Qualified By Experience (QBE) may also be considered.
• Excellent analytical skills and an inquiring mind.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage closely with team members and senior management.
