Finance Manager

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations and guide our financial strategy. This full-time role is based in Guildford and offers a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with the ability to lead a team and provide financial insights that will help shape our business decisions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed new sites.
  • Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents.
  • Collaborate with management on the development and execution of funding strategies.
  • Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles.
  • Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations related to finance.
  • Lead the finance team in day-to-day operations, including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager.
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
  • CPA is a strong advantage.
