Finance Manager - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyYour new company will be a successful specialist Engineering company based in Chesterfield, which has successfully operated for over 30 years, with a faithful customer base. Due to their long-standing Finance Manager moving to a new role, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager / Accounts Manager to take sole responsibility for the Finances and Accounts, with support from an external Accountant.

Your new roleYour new role will be a stand-alone Finance Manager / Accounts Manager role, in which you'll be taking the accounts to Trial Balance, handling all Ledgers (Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger), bank and credit cards and reconciling as needed. You'll handle all payroll duties which are currently managed in-house. Quarterly VAT reporting and the preparation of Management Accounts is the duty of the Finance Manager. Other ad hoc duties to support the Directors of the business.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you ideally will have a number of years experience in a stand-alone Finance Manager / Accounts Manager style role, with the ability to handle all-round Finance and Accounting duties with the support of an external accountant. A MUST for this role is being able to produce quarterly VAT reports. An AAT L4 qualification or equivalent experience is a minimum expectation with further qualifications benefiting your application. End-to-end Payroll experience is a big benefit but not essential, a minimum of handling payroll with agency support is expected. Lastly, experience with SAGE is preferred, however other accounting package knowledge will be considered

What you'll get in returnThe company are offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, with 20 days holidays. The company has a good feel to their working environment and minimal staff turnover.
