Finance Manager - Simpson Judge Ltd : Job Details

My client is an exciting and growing organisation based in the heart of Manchester City Centre, where you will be based 3 days a week with the option of working from home 2 days a week. They are looking for a personable, hands-on and confident individual to manage and add value to the organisation's financial performance and direct accounting operations.Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Managing and maintaining robust accounting records
• Evaluating and managing risk
• Ensuring compliance with regulations
• Publishing financial statements on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
• Analysing financial data
• Monitoring expenditure with multiple stakeholders
• Forecasting revenue and costs
• Monthly payroll management
• Robust treasury and cash flow management
• Co-ordinating year end processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information
• Management and development of a small finance team, annual appraisals and advising on training requirements
• Undertaking the end to end finance processes for the organisation
• Preparing financial reports
• Developing a robust budgeting processes
• Streamlining accounting functions and operations

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with a recognised body
• Proven experience in finance management
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong leadership qualities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Compliance oriented
• Analytical skills
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software (desirable)
• Payroll experience (essential)
