Job Description :

Reed Finance are currently assisting a locally based charity in the recruitment of a Finance Manager with a comprehensive understanding of finance transactional processes and a proven track record of managing finance teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales and purchase invoicing, debt and credit management, and supporting the treasury function. This role of Finance Manager is ideal for a driven individual with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer service focus.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage and develop the accounts receivable and accounts payable team, inspiring high performance.
  • Oversee the purchase, sales ledger, and credit control function, including report production.
  • Maintain debt levels within set targets and manage debt management activities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for auditors on transactional items and manage audit preparations.
  • Ensure timely posting of purchase invoices and raising of sales invoices by the team.
  • Liaise with finance business partnering and financial planning teams to provide required information.
  • Support treasury management and maintain accurate cash positions.
  • Authorise supplier payments, oversee payment runs, and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Manage petty cash and Barclaycard entries, ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Process third-party payments and monitor imprest bank balances & AMS.
  • Maintain up-to-date bank information and support the monthly management accounts process.
  • Complete occupancy reconciliations and oversee the preparation of debtors schedules.
  • Manage the Invoice management system and support finance-related projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit control, and cash and banking activities.
  • Excellent people and performance management skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver accurate and timely information.
  • Confident system skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other IT systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen with good business analysis skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to plan ahead and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
