Finance Manager - Interlinked Ltd : Job Details

Electrical, Data AV/IT and Fire & Security Contractors seek a Financial Manager for their Hertford office.

The Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the internal bookkeeping for all four of the group of companies and overseeing the role of the current Accounts Manager as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the internal bookkeeping for all four of the group of companies.
• Overseeing the reconciliation of all ledgers, entering journals.
• Overseeing the preparation of management accounts monthly for the group, including consolidation.
• Project accounting and inter-relationship with the management accounts, so knowledge of the construction or electrical main contractor industry is a must.
• Assisting the Director with cashflow management.
• Assisting the Director with the bank relationship, finance agreements, relationship with external agencies regarding accounts and finance matters.
• Preparation of working papers for and working with external accountants and auditors.
• Liasing with the Purchase Ledger department and Accounts Manager.
• Advising on accounting systems and set up, maintenance thereon.
• Revenue and costs recognition - a good working knowledge of the relevant accounting standards and application thereon.
• Correspondence with HMRC.
• Preparation & submission of VAT returns, knowledge of Domestic Reverse Charge.
• Assisting with Sales ledger; chasing payments.
• Budgets and forecasting.
• Preparation of information requested by the group for KPI and ad hoc purposes.
• Obtaining information from the Payroll and CIS departments.
• Generally, have an awareness of the financial position of the group at any point.
• A knowledge of overseas branches would be useful but not essential.
• Prospects for a Finance Directorship in the future in a fast-growing group.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assists directors with requested support on their project works
• Actions any request from directors and management
• Ability to juggle multiple work streams

Ideally we are looking for an ACCA or FCCA qualified Finance Manager
