Job Description :

We are supporting a global brand in their recruitment of a Finance Manager to join their Controlling department.

This management role within our UK&I market wholesale organisation is responsible for the financial oversight and accuracy of the Key Accounts & Instruments channels.

The role supports and influences key business decisions through financial insight and is a pivotal part of our executive team.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as the primary finance contact for Key Accounts (KA) and Instruments commercial directors, managing relationships with the end customer.
  • Provide financial insight to support commercial directors and management teams in key commercial decision-making.
  • Handle internal and external reporting for the KA channel.
  • Track rebates, chargebacks, and year-end bonuses per individual KA contract.
  • Oversee frame stock management for KA.
  • Work with the KA team to understand the differences between Direct Operating Profit (DOP) profitability and true, sourcing-based profitability.
  • Analyse pricing structures and trading terms across the KA group, ensuring defensibility of pricing/terms and maximisation of profitability.
  • Maintain regular contact with the commercial team to advise on target achievement and contract tenders/negotiations/trading terms.
  • Be accountable for the Instruments P&L division, ensuring accuracy of monthly reported financials, robust revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and systems control for stock management/revenue recognition.
  • Engage in project work as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools.
  • Skilled in analysing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to coach and motivate a team to achieve departmental targets (desirable).
  • Experience in building relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the business (desirable).
  • GCSE level or equivalent standard of education (desirable).
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
