This Finance Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a large non-profit organisation during an exciting period of growth. This role would be pivotal in providing accurate and timely financial reporting and planning for the organisation, managing a small team and delivering key development and change across policy and procedures as their growth continues.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing statutory reporting and delivering both quarterly and yearly accounts prep under Charity SORP.
- Leading a small team of transactional finance staff to ensure accurate posting of information
- Leading the external audits and supporting the Head of Financial Accounts in relevant information gathering
- Planning for year-end including delivery of accurate and timely reporting.
- Completing the month-end accounting i
- Analysing the consolidated accounts, delivering strong reporting.
- Advising on correct VAT treatment for relevant departments
- Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders ensuring accurate and timely posting across multiple systems
Person Specification
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- Experience of working in a charity setting (either with charity clients from practice or within a charity finance function)
- Strong experience in financial accounting including statutory reporting (Charity SORP)
- Experience of supervising or managing staff previously
- A proactive and ambitious mindset with ability to analyse data
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders
