Finance Manager - Robert Half : Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business in Nottingham. We are looking to recruit an Experienced Commercial Financial Controller to support the CEO in all aspects of commercial decision making, financial performance and financial control.

In this role you will be responsible for driving financial performance, as well as initiating and supporting local revenue and profit growth projects.

You will be responsible for accurate financial management information and the management of a site-based finance function, giving clear direction and effective communication to ensure high levels of engagement.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Support the operational lead in the management of the ongoing complexities of the business.
• Provide expert financial and commercial advice and drive financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis.
• Control and monitor business processes, budgets and budgeting.
• Take the lead in reporting, budgeting and re-forecasting.
• Initiate improvement processes in financial and operational management.
• Support accurate implementation of group accounting policies.
• Preparation, review and analysis of monthly management accounts.
• Completion of statutory accounts and corporation tax.

Candidate Profile

• Accountant with experience in a commercially focused finance role
• Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to drive change/transformation to improve processes
• Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
• A keen attention to detail
