Job Description :

SRM are pleased to partner with an established property group to hire their next Finance Manager. This person will be responsible for preparing the monthly and annual management and financial reporting for the business and jv's. The successful candidate will take ownership of reporting and developing and maintaining relationships with the finance teams of partners.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review of monthly management accounts for all joint ventures
  • Review of Year End Statutory Accounts and Audit for LLP's
  • Production of JV board papers with analysis of monthly movements and commentary
  • Manage and update the appraisal and forecast models for all JV Projects
  • Cashflow forecasting for all JV projects and preparation of partner funding requests
  • Monitoring of Project Funded loans for JV's and liaison with banks
  • Oversee the JV recharges process - ensuring that all shared costs are recovered
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as required
  • Adherence with financial procedures
  • Accounting transactions are to be updated accurately
  • JV Appraisals and Forecasting models to be updated accurately
  • Management information to be presented in a way that it is readily understandable
  • Explanations provided of financial performance suitable for business decisions to be based upon
  • Business partner external stakeholders: Funders, Funder monitoring surveyors, conveyancing solicitors, joint venture partners, joint venture supervisors, auditors
  • Internal: Group Accounts, Sales and Marketing, Development team, Commercial Team
  • Ensure that loan monies are drawn on each funded project monthly
  • Ensure that cash requirements are forecast monthly and equity funding requested from partners as and when necessary
  • Ensure that shared joint venture costs are invoiced to Joint Venture Partners on a timely basis each month and debts recovered before becoming overdue
  • Provide support and training where appropriate to the Graduate trainees
  • External: Funders, Funder monitoring surveyors, conveyancing solicitors, joint venture partners, joint venture supervisors, auditors
  • Internal: Group Accounts, Sales and Marketing, Development team, Commercial Team

Role Requirements

  • Finalist/Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Experience working for a Private Developer or Housing Association ideal
  • Experience with Joint Venture Accounting & Reporting
  • Experience in producing Monthly Management Accounts
  • Experience working
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in data analysis
  • Ability to interpret and present data in a logical manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions
  • Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy and flexibility
  • Client Focus - willingness to understand and meet the needs of both internal and external clients to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong cross functional team player
  • Professional approach with high level of discretion

Salary : 60000 - 70000
