Job Description :

Our client is an IT solutions provider based in East London which services mid-market companies. They have developed a strong datacentre and cyber security practice and run a managed service around cloud backup. They are seeing steady growth and are now looking to hire a Finance Manager, their third hire in finance. This is within a group structure across three companies.

They have a Finance Assistant who carries out daily AP and AR tasks, and a Finance Coordinator who oversees some of the admin duties. They currently receive management information from their external accountants but are looking to bring this in-house.

As Finance Manager your responsibilities will include overseeing finance operations, managing the team, reporting and budgeting, financial planning and analysis, making improvements to processes, and and ad-hoc projects.

Duties

  • Producing monthly management information across the group
  • Analysing monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings
  • Managing the preparation of the company’s budget
  • Preparing and presenting weekly credit risk report
  • Overseeing AP and AR ensuring accuracy and providing cover as required
  • Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries inc. any daily AP and AR entry if required
  • Managing and reviewing the Finance Assistant
  • Dealing with monthly FOREX transactions and requirements
  • Driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting processes and systems
  • Continually identifying financial risks and proposing solutions where necessary
  • Dealing with working capital management e.g. cash flow forecasts
  • Overall responsibility for payroll, pension, VAT and HMRC processes
  • Producing year end accounts, liaising with external accountant to finalise filing
  • Advising on investment activities and providing strategies that the company should take
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Managing renewals of leases, insurances, private health scheme, utilities etc.
  • Assisting operations in the management of ISO9001 certification
  • Liaising with other departments as required

Requirements

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Proficient user of finance software, Excel and modelling
  • Experience of AP and AR
  • Experience producing monthly management accounts
  • Experience creating statutory accounts
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulation
  • Any experience of EU and US finance regulations is desirable
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

Salary : 50000 - 55000
