Our client, an established hospitality business, is looking to recruit a dynamic and progressive Finance Manager/Controller to look after a number of entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant with a wealth of experience to step into a more senior finance position.

The company is forward thinking, entrepreneurial and diverse and they are looking for someone with personality for their team. The role involves some client facing elements so it would suit someone who is comfortable in that environment. They are passionate about what they do and are looking for someone to share that passion.

You will be for a number on entities and will provide accurate, detailed management accounts for them along with performance analysis.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Management Accounts and Financial Reports tailored to each entities needs
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with deadlines and governance regulations.
  • Prepare weekly flash reports summarising performance
  • Analyse key metrics such as revenue, expenses, and profitability to identify trends
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and advise on profitability improvements.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance analysis
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cashflow reports
  • Compile accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet statements
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, highlighting variances and trends

What they are looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years accounting experience
  • Experience of working in the hospitality industry - hotels, restaurants or hospitality groups and knowledge of accountancy software related to the industry
  • Attention to detail, a problem solver and have good communication skills
  • Understanding of Tronc schemes is a bonus
  • Advanced Excel skills, Sage 50 and Xero experience essential
  • Knowledge of Stock Management systems

This role is 5 days a week in the Company’s modern, stylish City offices. They are a social, friendly team and the office has a wonderful atmosphere.

Salary : 45000 - 55000
