Finance Head of Property Services - NET Recruit : Job Details

NET Recruit are delighted to be supporting a fantastic housing business, in their search for Finance Head of Property Services located in the Dorset area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the delivery of financial information from the maintenance financial reporting team
• Actively contributing to the development of finance strategies and taking the finance strategies and transform these into actionable goals for the maintenance finance reporting team to support the overall business targets
• Creating insightful monthly management account reports with additional commentary and subsequently presenting to the senior directors and leadership team to support commercial decision making
• Delivering quarterly reforecasts for the production of reports to include commentary
• Ensuring the appropriate nature of key assumptions that are associated with the maintenance budgets and financial plans by actively challenging where needed
• Acting as a key business partner for the senior leadership team specifically for the maintenance division, ensuring detailed analysis and reporting is provided as required to support decision making and planning, and to support the understanding of budget holders regarding the progress year to date
• Coordinating the annual budget and financial plan regarding the maintenance division
• Managing the coordination of the preparation for the statutory accounts
• Ensuring the ongoing review cycle for processes is maintained to proactively highly inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and taking the initiative to spearhead change where needed
• Contributing to the preparation of group cash flow forecasts for the treasury
• Leading the maintenance finance team, motivating team members and seeking opportunities for development and growth
• Keeping relevant financial, tax and corporate governance knowledge up to date

You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

• Qualified accountant either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Excellent technical accounting experience, alongside management accounting and business partnering experience
• Exposure to the housing/social housing and/or commercial maintenance sector would be beneficial
• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and senior management, as well as external parties
• Sound knowledge of delivering budgeting and financial planning
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, particularly with influencing professionals and building strong working relationships
• Excellent leadership abilities and experience, including developing and structuring teams, and supporting growth
• Strong IT skills including Excel to an expert level and experience within database software and accounting systems, particularly through the lens of enhancing these systems
• Strategically focussed with previous experience in contributing to corporate strategy
