Finance Director - Robert Half : Job Details

Are you a strategic financial leader ready to drive transformation and long-term business success? Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Director to join our client's senior leadership team.

As a Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of this well-established Manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the finance function, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver strategic insights that support business growth and operational excellence. This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional leadership, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with growth objectives
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Deliver robust financial reporting and ensure compliance with statutory and company policies
• Partner with the Group on monthly consolidations and group reporting
• Provide commercial insight and strategic analysis at board level
• Manage financial risks, working capital, and cash flow
• Lead and develop the finance team to foster a high-performance culture
• Evaluate investment opportunities and support M&A activity through due diligence
• Drive ERP improvements in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage stock integrity and valuation to support operational efficiency

Requirements

• Qualified Finance professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven Financial Controller or Finance Director experience gained within Manufacturing, Engineering, or a similar industry is essential
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage across all levels

What's on offer:

£100,000 basic salary, plus car and bonus, and a range of additional benefits.
