Job Description :

Blair West are supporting INEOS Compounds by appointing a new Finance Director.

INEOS Compounds (part of INEOS Enterprises) is Europe's leading PVC compounds manufacturer, incorporating more than 50 years of experience in evolving PVC technology. The compounds division has 325 employees and operates from three sites: Newton Aycliffe (UK), Helsingborg (Sweden), and Sins (Switzerland).

This is a board-level appointment, working closely with Compounds’ COO, with a dotted line into INEOS Enterprises Groups’ CFO & finance function. The incoming Finance Director will be motivated by the opportunity to be a vital part of a small leadership function, first and foremost responsible for the financial strategy but able to contribute commercially & operationally.

The opportunity:
  • Active participation in the monthly business board meetings, presenting financial data and providing support and challenge to other business areas.
  • Work closely with the Group COO on ad hoc projects and activities to provide financial analysis and insights.
  • Prepare and present financial information to the Enterprises Board, including monthly financial reporting, annual budgets, and strategic plans.
  • Define and lead the accounting processes and ensure reporting follows all reporting timetables.
  • Oversee the production of external financial results for the appropriate legal entities.
  • Ownership of monthly reporting to the Enterprise Central Finance team.
  • Lead financial accounting aspects of major IT projects.
  • Develop, review and maintain robust financial and accounting systems/processes.
  • Lead the business-based treasury activities.
  • Led preparation and determination of the Group’s tax obligations alongside tax advisors and the INEOS Group tax department.
  • Ensure the business fully complies with all VAT regulations and reporting across all tax jurisdictions.
  • Oversee required company secretarial activities, ensuring compliance with applicable companies' acts in each site jurisdiction.
  • Lead and develop a vital finance function with skilled, experienced and motivated members.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you're:
  • A qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical skills (IFRS).
  • Ability to seamlessly transition into a key role on a small, high-performing, and entrepreneurial management team, responsible for all aspects of financial strategy and reporting.
  • Able to contribute commercially & operationally and potentially transition to perform a broader leadership role in time.
  • Experience in an international, multi-site environment would be advantageous.
  • Previous exposure to the petrochemicals industry and understanding of the culture and dynamics.
  • Ability to influence as a business partner to non-finance and longstanding colleagues.
  • Strong IT skills across Excel and navigating multiple reporting systems. Knowledge of HFM is advantageous.
  • Experience with multi-entity / complex reporting structures, including basic corporate governance/company secretarial knowledge.
