A leading UK health and first aid charity is partnering with Robertson Bell in their search for a Finance Business Partner (Volunteering) to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis. The charity is volunteer-powered and dedicated to first aid education and emergency response, ensuring that everyone receives the help they need in a health crisis.

The Finance Business Partner (Volunteering) will provide first-line support in the development of financial plans, analysis of financial performance, and forecasting for the Volunteering functions. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team, supporting the delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, aligned with strategic operational plans.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner will be:

  • Provide impactful finance business partnering to budget holders, senior management, and executive teams.
  • Deliver high-quality business and financial analysis, providing clear outcomes and rationales for change.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support monthly management accounts, annual budgeting, and in-year forecasting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial management reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Utilise technology and tools to improve financial reporting presentation and content.
  • Provide clear narrative and guidance to stakeholders, advocating sound accounting principles.
  • Identify and implement cost and efficiency savings without compromising service quality.
  • Support business partners with financial analysis and appraisal for business cases.

 The successful candidate will have:

  • A full professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA).
  • Ideally, experience in the charity sector or large complex organisations.
  • Significant experience in management accounting processes.
  • Extensive experience in a finance business partner role.
  • Track record in supporting end-to-end in-year forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, internal and external.
  • Excellent influencing skills, with confidence and gravitas to challenge respectfully.

This role is offered nationwide within the UK, with only occasional travel required for key in-person meetings. Applicants must be willing and able to attend occasional meetings in the evenings, via Teams. TOIL and flexible working arrangements facilitate this.
