Join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our clients £350m turnover entity. As a trusted Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the leadership team, providing the insight and challenge needed to deliver our strategic goals.
This role will be reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll act as a key point of contact for the commercial management teams, building strong relationships and driving informed decision-making. You’ll lead and develop a talented finance professional, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Together, you’ll deliver high-quality analysis, uncover opportunities, and influence performance across the business.
Business Partnering & Performance
- Partner with commercial teams (pricing, sales, marketing, stations) to provide insight, identify gaps, and drive performance.
- Support bids, tenders, and pricing strategy through analysis and margin assurance.
- Assess financial impact of pricing, product launches, marketing, and investments (ROI).
- Deliver analysis and insight to influence business performance and improvement projects.
- Assist Head of FP&A with contractual negotiations.
Reporting & Analysis
- Ensure accuracy of P&Ls for revenue and cost centres; deliver timely management and board reporting.
- Produce reports and KPIs for performance tracking, identifying improvement opportunities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, audits, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with operations to drive actionable improvements.
Planning
- Prepare annual and long-range plans, ensuring timely and accurate inputs for leadership.
- Support financial risk/opportunity processes and hold SLT accountable for delivery.
Process Optimisation & Governance
- Champion continuous improvement, process efficiency, and technology adoption in FP&A.
- Manage financial risk, ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Experience of operating within the transport / manufacturing industry
- Business partnering, supporting & challenging senior stakeholders
- Financial and non financial data analytical skills
- Dealing with large and complex data sets
