We’re partnering with a world-leading law firm to recruit an experienced Commercial Finance Manager for their international finance team, based in Leeds. This is a high-profile role, working closely with global operational leaders to influence strategy, drive performance, and support the firm’s continued growth.

The Role

As Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll be a trusted adviser to senior leadership—translating financial insight into commercial action. You’ll lead on reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for global support functions, ensuring decisions are backed by robust data and clear analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders, providing insight, challenge, and strategic guidance to support decision-making
• Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly results, forecasts, and budgets
• Manage the month-end close, producing accurate and meaningful commentary
• Develop and maintain high-quality reporting packs for senior stakeholders
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, including board-level presentations
• Identify and deliver process improvements, leveraging automation to enhance reporting
• Manage and mentor a Commercial Finance Analyst, supporting their professional development
• Contribute to strategic projects with detailed financial analysis and recommendations

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with solid commercial finance and management reporting experience
• Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and simplifying complex financial information
• Experience in a partnership or international setting is a strong advantage
• Confident communicator with excellent business partnering skills
• Detail-focused, hands-on, and committed to continuous improvement
