Finance Business Partner - Reed : Job Details

Reed Finance are working with a long established business based in Lowestoft who are looking to recruit a new Finance Business Partner to their finance team.  This Finance Business Partner position will be permanent and full time, office based and will be working with an established team who, due to an increase in new contract wins, are looking for a new member to join their team.

This Finance Business Partner position will be involved in all day-to-day finance activities including processes, controls and month end.  The role will also have a focus on reporting and financial management to aid in monitoring project performance and developing project controls.  You will be joining the company at a time of growth and therefore the successful candidate will experience many aspects of finance and the role will certainly not be one dimensional; so the ability to adapt to change and grow as the business grows, is a must!

Key responsibilities include:

• Weekly and monthly forecast to support Management Accounts
• Draft preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, budgets and financial forecasts for review   
• Complete month end journals and nominal account reconciliations.
• Balance sheet reconciliation accounts and timely resolve of issues as appropriate
• Perform reconciliations of Asset Registers, Purchase, Nominal ledgers, ensuring accurate transaction processing & timely period close.
• Ensuring consistent and efficient accounting processes and internal controls are in place and procedures are adhered to
• Assist with supervision of Finance Team, including supporting apprenticeship program, with coaching/training and overall support.
• Assist with external audit, liaising with group and to ensure smooth audit of annual financial statements
• Responsible for VAT returns, including ensuring administration and record keeping is compliant and in line with regulatory requirements.
