Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, OX3 9DU (Hybrid- 2 days in office)

Pay: £23.52 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours a week)

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Under the direction of the Deputy and Head of Divisional Finance, to plan and co-ordinate development of the annual budget and 5-year plan for the Division within the Trust's financial framework.
  • Ensure that monthly budget monitoring reports are robust and take accurate account of all appropriate accruals within the agreed timetable.
  • Support the Deputy and Head of Divisional Finance in preparing, reviewing, and
  • maintaining a robust forecast financial outturn position for the Division.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, costings, and appraisals for the Division for use within the Division, the Trust and for outside agencies.
  • Provide information to assist with the calculation of the annual reference costs and to ensure the results are validated by senior clinical staff and managers.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
  • You'll have the following skills/experience:

    • Management accounts experience
    • Experience of working in a financial management position
    • Experience of setting income and expenditure budgets and financial forecasting
    • Experience of carrying out in depth analysis of variances, reporting on these and setting out options for corrective action
    • Experience of advising finance and non-finance managers on financial and budgetary matters
    • Able to design spreadsheets and databases for analysing and presenting information
    • Experience of providing financial advice and guidance for business cases

    This role requires you to show a Professional Accountancy Qualification and relevant experience.
