We have a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking Accountant eager to broaden their commercial finance expertise within a dynamic and expansive organisation. Unlike traditional finance positions, the emphasis here lies on effective communication and successful business partnering with non-finance teams across the business to help drive sales and margin growth.

As a key support role reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will play a central part in a high profile, business facing team, supporting and cultivating relationships with crucial stakeholders in a specific business units, contributing to driving overall business performance.

Key duties will include:

• Presenting weekly sales and margin performance to the relevant line managers
• Providing weekly reports and commentary on daily margin performance verse budget at group level
• Provide insightful analysis to support sales and margin performance, highlighting under performance when required
• Scenario planning to support decision-makers identify ranges of potential outcomes and impacts, evaluate responses and manage for both positive and negative possibilities
• Support the budgeting and forecast process by working closely with the non-finance line managers to produce budgets for sales, margin and commercial income.
• Actively contribute to margin and Commercial income reforecasts, with a clear understanding of how current performance may impact margin versus budget.
• Support non-finance teams with supplier negotiations ensuring in depth understanding of supplier profitability as well as potential impacts
• Lead pricing reviews to measure the competitiveness of our prices within the market and drive appropriate corrective action.

Skills/Experience:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified is desirable
• Must have strong commercial awareness, be interested in working with the business
• Must be a confident communicator, a team player and able to work with people at all levels and challenge when required
• Essential advanced Excel skills;
• Power BI or SQL experience is advantageous.
• Experience in a Commercial Finance environment is beneficial.
