Finance Assistant, Practice - Remote - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

You will be working for a small but growing accountancy practice specialising in management accounting for the creative services sector.

The firm is offering a rare opportunity for someone to work fully remotely on a full-time or part-time basis, supporting the Finance Manager is a wide range of accountancy work. Responsibilities will include:

• Sales Ledger: Raising Invoices and issuing customer statements.
• Purchase Ledger: Filing and posting invoices and receipts and reconciling supplier accounts.
• Bank: Daily bank reconciliations and help with managing cashflow forecasts
• Support with monthly management accounts
• Support with VAT returns
• Support with Payroll
• Other general book-keeping task
• Human Resource Tasks: Support the finance manager to maintain employee records on HR systems, create contracts and keep policies and handbook up to date
• General Office Duties: Support to organise/plan client and staff events and ordering office equipment, maintaining office records and other general admin duties

You will be required to have at least one year's prior experience in an accountancy-based role (ideally more) being able to demonstrate the above skill set, ideally with experience using Xero and Quickbooks. Due to the fact that this will be a REMOTE role, you must be able to work on your own initiative but not be afraid to ask for advice or assistance if you need it!
