Job Description :

Reed Accountancy is currently assisting an established client on the outskirts of Horsham in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to cover maternity.  Reporting to the Finance manager this role will primarily work on the Sales Ledger. This role is based in a remote location, so having your own transport is essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain Aged Debtors by chasing overdue invoices, allocating cash, processing refunds, sending Paylinks, and releasing Credit Held sales orders.
  • Handle customer queries in coordination with the Sales team and Customer Services.
  • Create customer accounts and manage weekly Sales and Cashflow reports.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and be willing to cover other members of the Finance Team during periods of absence, including tasks related to bank reconciliations and purchase ledger.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of accountancy – ideally some sales and purchase ledger experience.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
