Finance Assistant - RM RECRUIT LIMITED : Job Details

RM Recruit are proud to be working in partnership with an excellent third sector client based in Stourbridge who are seeking a driven Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for circa 3 months. This role is mostly remote working with the office presence set at once per week. This role will play an important part in ensuring smooth day-to-day finance operations, with a focus on both purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.

As the ideal candidate you will be available immediately or on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses in line with company policy
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Raising and issuing sales invoices to customers
• Posting and allocating customer payments
• Chasing outstanding debt and assisting with credit control where required
• Assisting with month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks

Person Specification

• You will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
• Confident using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) and Excel
• A proactive team player with strong communication skills
