Finance AssistantHoniton, Devon£28,000 - £29,000 per annum

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant with a strong background in sales ledger to join their continuously expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Finance Assistant, you will be crucial in supporting the day-to-day management of the sales ledger and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function. You will act as the main point of contact for customers regarding sales ledger queries, while also supporting the Finance Manager in other areas as needed. This role is ideal for someone with solid sales ledger experience who is eager to play a key part in the financial operations of the business.

The responsibilities:

• Raising and issuing sales invoices promptly and accurately.
• Allocating and reconciling customer payments to accounts.
• Chasing outstanding payments and managing credit control processes.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate sales ledger records.
• Responding to customer queries related to sales invoices and accounts.
• Assisting with month-end sales ledger close and reporting.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with audit preparation and other finance tasks as required.
• Managing a varied workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Liaising with internal departments and external customers to resolve queries.

The candidate:

• Proven sales ledger and general finance assistant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fluctuating workload.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, with essential experience in Excel.
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
