Exciting new opportunity to provide financial support within the accounts department. Providing smooth financial processess to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and within specified deadlings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Entry, including all AP/AR entries for the UK trading companies, and supplier account reconciliations.
• Bank account reconciliation (multiple currencies)
• Invoice processing including querying any discrepancies and maintaining a good relationship with our suppliers •
Generating various reports, such as margin and ad-hoc sales channel reports. •
Generating daily flash reports on sales and bank balances •
Staff expense management - to take care of processing employee expenses and company credit cards
• Managing petty cash
• Monthly intercompany recharges
• Completed and assisting UK group VAT returns, postponed VAT statements and deferred VAT statements.
• Weekly payment runs to the suppliers and overseas payments.
• Stock management - assisting and completing year-end monthly stock take entries and reports.
• Daily cashflow reporting and short-term cashflow forecasting
• Fuel card management •
Support with the yearly audits
• Supporting the finance team with the management accounts and assisting with queries
• Reviewing discrepancy report to raise customer credit notes.
Also to ensure correct stock is returned into the system
• Managing supplier portal and payment portals i.e Stripe, Shopify, Paypal, and various supplier portals.
• Ensuring freight is logged correctly and including within the landed costs of the items
• Journal entries • General ledger maintenance - updating and maintaining the general ledger is with accurate financial information
• Monthly exchange rate updates in the system
• Credit control - sending customer statements, following up payment dates etc.
AAT qualified or relevant experience
