Job Title: Finance Assistant
Salary: £25k - £30k
Location: West End, London - Hybrid (3 days at home, 2 in office)
Summary
We are representing one of the UK's most reputable and world's largest real estate agency and consultancy's finance arm of the business. They're looking for someone with between 1-2 years experience, looking to get a varied experience and training.
The successful candidate will be diligent and efficient, ideally, they will contribute to process improvement and ongoing development of their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing weekly statement reconciliation
- Completing daily completion banking of fees
- Assisting with income reconciliation
- Producing weekly debtors assisting with reviewing and monitoring progress
- Checking accuracy of fees and auditing documentation
- Assisting Finance Manager with ad hoc advisor queries and projects
- Managing remittance statements and enquiries in generic accounts inbox
- Ensuring all information on CRM system is correct, accurate and corresponds with paperwork
- Assist with invoice processing and creating payment requests
- Responsible for weekly and monthly reports to be sent out on a timely basis
- Assisting in the production of ad hoc reports
- Assisting with month end to meet tight deadlines
- Cover for month end process in the absence of Finance Manager
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and reports for the Head of Operations
- Assisting admin team with administrative tasks as required
- Responsible for maintaining filing system
- Undertake additional relevant duties as required
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in an accounts role or completed a finance qualification (degree or AAT)
- Must be able to work pro-actively, positively, efficiently and effectively
- Able to work quickly and accurately using own initiative
- Experience with month end and production of management accounts
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proficient using MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to prioritise work and work well as part of a team
- Confident and personable
- Eager to learn quickly and drive change
