*This is an interim position from 14th July for around 6 weeks while the charity appoints on a permanent basis*

*The renumeration for this role is calculated pro rata at an annual salary of up to £28,000*

*Hybrid, 1-2 days pw at London Bridge office, 3-4 days remote*

Do you have finance or accountancy experience gained within a charity or non-profit environment?

Have you got a practical understanding of financial ledgers, control accounts and reconciliations.

A national social mobility charity is seeking a Finance professional to support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance and Operations Director and take responsibility for all aspects of sale, purchase and nominal ledger, credit control, payments and various reconciliations. You will also assist with general management account duties.

You will:

  • Take ownership of purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers, and assist with reconciliations, payments, and credit control
  • Log and process purchase invoices, ensure documentation is compliant, and liaise with budget holders for approvals
  • Issue sales invoices and maintain the funder invoicing schedule
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and remittance advices
  • Support staff with expense reimbursements, including reconciling the expense system
  • Perform reconciliations between systems (e.g., Salesforce and the finance system)
  • Assist with the month-end close and wider management accounting duties
  • Provide ad hoc support on tasks such as posting journals, supporting payroll, and audit preparation

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have proven experience in a finance or accounting role in the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Understand charity finance principles and feel confident working with ledgers, reconciliations, and coding invoices
  • Are tech-savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and enjoy learning new systems
  • Are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while supporting a collaborative team

The charity are seeking someone to hit the ground running, starting with the team on 14th July.This is a hybrid role with an expectation to work from their London Bridge office for 1 or 2 days a week.
