Finance Business Analyst

Our client, a leading UK charity with its headquarters in Central Cardiff, is seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support a major transformation programme. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in process improvement will help drive efficiency, strengthen governance, and improve service delivery for the communities.
The Role:You'll work closely with the Global Process Owner, programme stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design, document, and deliver optimised end-to-end processes. From mapping "AS-IS" workflows to validating "TO-BE" solutions, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that operational changes are implemented smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Define and embed process design principles that align standards, data structures, and decision points across workstreams.
Work with subject matter experts to map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and document improved workflows using Visio.
Elicit and clarify business requirements, ensuring changes align with service goals, performance measures, and reporting needs.
Identify system or operational constraints and design interim processes to maintain continuity during phased rollouts.
Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and playback sessions to validate solutions with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Internal Audit to map risks and controls, contributing to a strong governance and compliance framework.
Support process integration with data and technology solutions, identifying downstream impacts and coordinating mitigation plans.
Oversee the design, testing, and implementation of interface files in collaboration with IT Developers.
Maintain clear and comprehensive process documentation to support sustainability and knowledge transfer.
What You'll Bring
Proven track record as a Business Analyst within large, complex organisations-charity/non-profit experience is a plus.
Strong process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work at pace, managing multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.
Experience using various data tools.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Contract Details
Location: Central Cardiff (hybrid working available)
Rate: £450/500 per day
Duration: 6 months initially, with possible extension
