Working Hours: 37 Hours, Mon - Thurs 830am-1700pm, Friday 0830am-1630pm

About the Role

This Finance Administrator position supports, both, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, working within East Midlands Services, where the overriding standard is one of efficiency and customer service. The Finance Service Centre, based in Loxley House, Nottingham, serves both Leicestershire County Council and Nottingham City Council with their transactional finance. The postholder will provide transactional processing services to support the effective delivery of front line services whilst meeting or exceeding customer needs across customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Overall knowledge of transactional processes, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • To be the first point of contact for enquiries and resolution of payment related receive and resolve queries from external customers/organisations and staff/managers from strategic partners of EMSS, which will often include liaison with strategic partners of EMSS, internal and external customers within set guidelines and parameters, to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
  • To be able to manage difficult customers and stakeholders to ensure a satisfactory outcome is achieved within an agreed timeframe.
  • To assist the Supervisors to embed a culture of co-operation and flexibility across the Team.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
