Join our client's team as a Finance Admin Assistant in Colchester. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, process-driven, and have a background in financial administration. The Finance Admin Assistant will support various financial operations, including sales and purchase ledgers, and play a key role in maintaining efficient financial processes.
Day-to-day of the role:

Sales Ledger Management:
- Set up and maintain customer accounts efficiently.
- Process daily sales invoices and adjustments/journals.

Cashier Functions:
- Identify and post inbound receipts to the Sales Ledger or record in cashbooks.
- Manage proforma payments and liaise with the Sales Department.
- Allocate customer receipts according to remittance instructions and follow up on unallocated payments.
- Handle the removal of accounts from on-stop status.

Credit Control Support:
- Assist with running statements, managing on/off stop processes, and the dunning process as directed by the Assistant Accountant.

Purchase Ledger Support:
- Assist the Purchase Ledger Clerk with tasks such as commission payments, monitoring inbound emails, reconciling stock queries, and calculating company recharges.

General Administration:
- Manage daily and monthly exchange rates and assist with the automation of Goods In Services.
- Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as required.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and health & safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in financial administration within a finance team/function is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers.
- Ability to work to deadlines and remain process driven.
- Strong attention to detail.
