They specialise in the supply, installation, and ongoing support of high-performance production line equipment, including conveyors and bespoke machinery, for the print, packaging, and logistics sectors. The Role

They’re looking for a Field Service Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join their friendly and skilled team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll travel regularly across the UK (and occasionally overseas), installing and maintaining electromechanical equipment. You’ll also support customers with training and troubleshooting, delivering high standards of service every time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission new production line machinery at customer sites
• Perform fault-finding, maintenance, and repair work on installed systems
• Support our internal workshop operations in York as needed
• Deliver operator training and ongoing technical support
• Work independently on assignments and collaborate with team members
• Accurately document all service visits and communicate effectively with customers

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be a qualified and capable engineer with a flexible, can-do attitude. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with sensors, inverters, pneumatics, and variable speed drives
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills
• A proactive approach and readiness to travel, with occasional weekend work
• Experience with PLC programming (preferred but not essential)
