We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Female PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield from September 2025 on a full-time basis. Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the PE curriculum
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities Include

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Promote engagement and inclusion for all students
  • Organise and lead extracurricular clubs and sporting fixtures
  • Foster a love for physical activity and lifelong fitness
  • Support students in achieving their personal best
  • Track and assess student progress effectively
  • Prepare students for GCSE PE or equivalent qualifications
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities
  • Liaise with parents and carers regarding student development
  • Mentor and guide students to develop self-confidence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice
